As a school of choice, we strongly encourage parents to thoroughly examine all of the educational opportunities available to them throughout Pinellas County. Pinellas Primary Academy is a school for creative and motivated children who are willing to commit themselves to their education. Our rigorous academic focus and high expectations may not be for all students.  However, as a public school all students who apply are eligible for admission, therefore we encourage parents to consider the benefits and limitations of our school prior to applying. 

The character traits of students who our designed for include students who are: 

• Are willing to put forth effort into their own education;
• Generally are well behaved and do not excessively allow behavior to interfere with their own learning or that of their fellow classmates;
• Work well, or show a propensity to work well, with other students;
• Able or willing to look at tasks in creative and unique ways (problem solving);
• Have supportive families who are willing to commit to ensuring that students are present at school and complete their homework.
